Here's my new friend. Finally, I have USB modem of every major telco in the country!

I actually have 2 modems from Globe (their Visibility line).

Why do I have get another one you might ask, since I already have 2? Well, it so happens that I don't have 3G signal of Globe and Sun in the house. And luckily, SmartBro has and was able to give me my temporary internet fix while my Globelines DSL was down!

This model has gone a long way from the cheap-toy-looking v1 Champ.

Better display and a bit larger with much better feature set. Oh did I mention that it's cheap? Este "affordable"?

Come to think of it, solutions like this will put families closer to each other. Since broadband connection and HDTV are becoming a norm in every household, just pop one of these on top of the TV and you've got closer communication ties with one another, be it locally or international.

Let's see if this works for Yahoo! I'm excited, I think it's an HTML5 based web app that will benefit that tablet community that is not "serviced" by the iPad-only Flipboard.

Wonder though if it supports Google Reader subscriptions...which in turn will launch their own News Aggregator ala Flipboard too!
