Nice! I can find a good use for these considering I've got a bag of gear that I bring with me in any ordinary day that can be charged using a USB socket. Only thing is, it should be able to squeeze out enough juice to charge the Playbook.

My new Globelines modem

This is my new Globelines modem/router. After so many years with the old one, finally asked for a replacement after the old one started acting up and has rebooting by itself.

I take the risk of my download speed suffering, though hopefully it won't.

This is a Prolink 6300G, the old one was a Prolink 9300G. I haven't had the time to read about the new modem but I was able to play with it's interface and it's a bit closed. There are some features that I can't get into. Will be posting a detailed evaluation after a week.

The Sky Cable Digibox

This is the new Sky Cable Digibox. We've been postponing getting one since we were advised last summer of it's availability in our area.

The thought of having digiboxes for every television was still unacceptable to me yet. But after some research we finally gave in. But when we hooked it up to the flat screen, there was disappointment on my part, the images where all stretched out although not grainy anymore. This was understandable considering it was just hooked up with the typical composite yellow red and white cables (or is it component cables, heck I get confused with the two).

So I decided to hook the digibox to the crt tv and is now waiting for a reply from Sky Cable if the Select programming is available in the area. A good way to wait until HD becomes available.

Why are these things not as good in real life as they are in the commercial. It looks so fun in the ad than when you use it in real life.

Official Research In Motion update on BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0: Delayed until February 2012; No native BBM | CrackBerry.com

Official Research In Motion update on BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0: Delayed until February 2012; No native BBM | CrackBerry.com:

Well I'm disappointed. I'm a BlackBerry fan and I believe in their products. Sturdy and well made inside and out, but for a company who was known for innovations, they sure are getting slow nowadays.

Though we don't know what's their plans are, but consumer thoughts will surely affect their stock prices and valuation w/c can eventually take a toll on their sales.

Nothing new to boost sales for the holidays.

interesting bit of software that comes with the 3.2.1 Honeycomb update of the Asus EeePC Transformer and Slider tablet.

It's a note taking app, that has both text and "scribble" functionality. But what caught my attention is that you can edit the "scribbles" that you made.

My concept is, to have a tablet that I can dock when I get home and use it as my "desktop"....pretty neat!

interesting bit of video on how the N9 is assembled. I wonder though, if it is really mostly hand-made. Does it contribute to the price...why can't robots make it...to bring the price down....although, on another note, MeeGo! I want it just because of MeeGo.

i don't know why i'm interested in this, considering i already have my MiFi devices c/o my Android phone. But then again, my imagination is running wild, like I can use it in the province where cellular data signal is choppy. With this, I can just leave the MiFi at home where it has a stable signal and just broadcast the signal around the house.

Galaxy Nexus

Galaxy Nexus:

It's one nice phone, but I don't know, feels like it's another phone...heck I got more excited with Motorola's RAZR hehehe.

Perhaps it's because the phone is "attached" to Ice Cream Sandwich and the features of the OS isn't really "new" to me since most of it are UI changes and I have used/using it in my Motorola Xoom's Honeycomb.

The BlackBerry QNX is here....the BBX

And after all the speculation, RIM announces BBX (BlackBerry + QNX) Operating system. I'm excited because there's a very big chance that I'll get to play with the OS on my Playbook.
