My new Globelines modem
This is my new Globelines modem/router. After so many years with the old one, finally asked for a replacement after the old one started acting up and has rebooting by itself.
I take the risk of my download speed suffering, though hopefully it won't.
This is a Prolink 6300G, the old one was a Prolink 9300G. I haven't had the time to read about the new modem but I was able to play with it's interface and it's a bit closed. There are some features that I can't get into. Will be posting a detailed evaluation after a week.
The Sky Cable Digibox
This is the new Sky Cable Digibox. We've been postponing getting one since we were advised last summer of it's availability in our area.
The thought of having digiboxes for every television was still unacceptable to me yet. But after some research we finally gave in. But when we hooked it up to the flat screen, there was disappointment on my part, the images where all stretched out although not grainy anymore. This was understandable considering it was just hooked up with the typical composite yellow red and white cables (or is it component cables, heck I get confused with the two).
So I decided to hook the digibox to the crt tv and is now waiting for a reply from Sky Cable if the Select programming is available in the area. A good way to wait until HD becomes available.

Official Research In Motion update on BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0: Delayed until February 2012; No native BBM | CrackBerry.com
Well I'm disappointed. I'm a BlackBerry fan and I believe in their products. Sturdy and well made inside and out, but for a company who was known for innovations, they sure are getting slow nowadays.

Nokia N9 Journey - YouTube
interesting bit of video on how the N9 is assembled. I wonder though, if it is really mostly hand-made. Does it contribute to the price...why can't robots make it...to bring the price down....although, on another note, MeeGo! I want it just because of MeeGo.
